Regularly testing your pool water is vital to ensure that the water is safe for bathers to use. In an ideal world pool water would be tested on a daily basis and certainly if you are a new pool owner we would recommend this. |

As a guide testing disinfectant and pH levels twice a week when the pool is being used is an absolute minimum requirement.
Water testing can take as little as a minute using the Aquachek 3-Way Test Strips. For those of you who want to get a fuller picture of your pool water condition there is the BioGuard® 1200V Residential Test Kit. Further information on both these product is detailed below:
Aquachek 3-Way Test Strips - A quick and easy way to test your pool water, these test strips will check for free chlorine or bromine, pH and total alkalinity. Simply dip a strip into your pool water, remove immediately, wait 15 seconds and compare the colour pads on the strip with the standards printed on the bottle.
BioGuard® 1200V Residential Test Kit - For those who like more accurate results and the facility to check more of the water's properties then the 1200v is the kit for you. This kit tests for free chlorine or bromine, pH, acid demand, alkali demand and total alkalinity.

- Once a month bring a water sample to us for a full 13-point analysis followed by production of a personalised prescription of any remedial action required to correct any areas that are outside the acceptable ranges.
- The best way to avoid problems is to test your pool water a minimum of twice a week, react to the readings you get and adjust chemical levels as necessary and then once a month bring a water sample to us..
